Take Action: Anti-Global Warming Blog Set to Win Weblog Award
Hey Everyone, I just read this post on ThinkProgress about the right wing campaigning to have an anti-global warming blog win the best science blog of 2007. A number of right wing media outlets have been pushing people to vote for “Climate Audit”, run by a former mining executive.
The voting is open to the public and it ends tonight. Currently “Climate Audit” is leading “Bad Astronomy Blog” by around 700 votes. Please take a second to go and cast your vote for someone who deserves the title of “Best Science Blog of 2007″. You can cast your vote here.
Update
As the polls closed last night, the “Bad Astronomy Blog”, which isn’t actually all that bad now that I’ve read some of it, pulled off an upset win by only 45 votes! Thank you to everyone who helped take down the misguided attempts of global warming deniers.

True science will ultimately overcome political and peer pressure and defeat this junk science. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Twenty years ago we were plunging uncontrollably into man-made global cooling.
This semi-religious craze calls to mind another “unarguable” fact when once before man saw himself as the center of the universe, just as Mr. Gore does now. I refer to a time when the sun, evidently through man’s superior scientific consensus, revolved around the earth.

Ignorance is the Real Cause behind Global Warming
Global warming is by far the most important issue we face today. More important than any human undertaking. This is a simple concept, but one that be easily overlooked. I am glad to see, people realizing the agony of global warming. What still bothers me is that half of the people have already given up & are in no way willing to contribute to this environmental cause. I doubt if only our worried geologists, environmentalists & few environmental activists can bring about the desired change. It’s more important to educate the common man on the nuances of global warming & the effective measures they can take at individual levels to fight the cause. I would like to see people actively participating with us in spreading the awareness on this social issue. Please drop in a line or more on:
